What are pots without drainage holes good for?
I have a pot without a drainage hole, but I've read recommendations to use one with drainage. So why are ones without drainage holes sold at all?

- these are sold as decorative pots. i place my potted planter the one with holes in it. now my plant is 'dressed up'. i have also had to put gravel in the bottom of the decorative pots for the plant to sit evenly in. good luck
- just like war Absolutely good for nothing war what is it good for :} good luck
- You can use a pot without holes if you provide drainage area on the bottom. I use fine gravel (clean aquarium gravel is perfect) in a 1/2" layer, then top it with a coffee filter or fine mesh cut to size. Put the potting soil on top. Keep in mind that you're losing 1/2" of depth but it helps keep the plant roots from rotting.
